Open Space operates under five principles and one law.
The five principles are:
- Whoever comes are the right people
- Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened.
- When it starts is the right time
- When it's over it's over
- Wherver it happens is the right place "New"
The Law is known as the Law of Two Feet:
"If you find yourself in a situation where you are not contributing or learning, move somewhere Where you can."
The five principles and the law work to create a powerful event motivated by the passion and bounded by the responsibility of the participants.

: المبادئ الخمسة
- أيا كان من يأتي فهو الشخص المناسب
- أيا كان ما يحدث فهو الشئ الوحيد الذي يمكن أن يحدث
- عندما تبدأ فهو الوقت المناسب
- عندما تنتهي تكون النهاية
- أينما يحدث فهو المكان الصحيح
قانون القدمين:
"اذا وجدت نفسك في مكان لا تساهم او تتعلم فيه , أنتقل الي مكان أخر يمكنك فيه ذلك "
